

Bernice A. Palm passed away on October 6, 2012. Bernice was the loving wife of Donald Palm of Littleton, Colorado. She was born in Jamaica, New York to the late John Held and Viola Held (nee Andersen). She was the loving mother of Douglas Palm of Englewood, Colorado and Robin Dreckman of San Diego, California and the loving grandmother of Erica Rodgers (Stephen) and Dylan Dreckman, also of San Diego, California. She also leaves her brother, Ronald J. Held (Judith) of Boynton Beach, Florida as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was raised in St. Albans, New York and attended Andrew Jackson High School until she began studying at and graduated from the Queens Beauty Institute where she met Don. They were married in March, 1955. They moved to East Meadow, New York where they raised their family. In 1973, they moved to Littleton, Colorado. They were married for 57 years.
Bernice was a hairdresser, and an exceptional baker. She loved to sew, knit, crochet and cook. Bernice was very active in her church and was always there whenever the church needed volunteers. Bernice had crocheted dozens of prayer shawls for the church to hand out to those in need.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society. During her life, she donated almost 16 gallons of blood for the local blood bank.
