Betty Ann Goebel

Betty Ann entered this world September 13, 1925, in Oakley, Kansas, born to Frank C. Carnes and Rose A. (Jacob) Carnes. Betty Ann was born into a large family of 11 brothers and sisters. She was the 2nd to the youngest and the last survivor of the family. Betty began her childhood in Oakley before moving to Norton Kansas. Here Betty attended school and graduated from high school.

On June 17th, 1947, Betty Ann married the love of her life Carl H. Goebel in Norton, Kansas. They had a wonderful life together later moving to Denver Colorado to find their long-time home. Betty and Carl were very loving and giving and adopted Pamela Kay and John. Their family was complete. Betty was a housewife and mom, her most important role. As the children grew, she later went to work for Jefferson County Schools as a cafeteria worker where she enjoyed serving lunch to all the students. She retired in the late 1970’s returning as a fulltime housewife. Betty enjoyed life to the fullest, spending time with family and friends. She was active in church, participating in choir, bible studies, and service to others.

She is survived by Daughter Pam Jackson of Wheatridge, Colorado and Son John and wife Stacey Goebel of Loveland, Colorado, Grandchildren Dennis Simonton Jr. & Tyrone Jackson, of Wheatridge, Colorado, Shawn Goebel and wife Krysta Goebel of Rapid City, South Dakota, Kelly Goebel and Fiancé Blaine Goll of Mead, Colorado. Great Grandchildren Cody Werth, Ayjah Jackson, Adleigh Goebel, and Brayson Goebel.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, her parents Frank and Rose Carnes, Brothers Clyde, Roscoe, Kenneth, Joe, and Carl as well as sisters Francis, Elizabeth, Evelyn, and two infants who died at birth.

Services will be held at Olinger Crown Hill, Wednesday January 22, 2025, with viewing at 10:00am, service at 11:00am, and Burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 1:00pm.
