

A beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Bonifacio Leo Morales (“Lee”), age 92 of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was born in Larkspur, Colorado, on April 19, 1933, to Emilio Damian and Marcelina Castro Morales.
Lee was a leader and adventurist, young at heart, optimistically happy, always greeting everyone with that big, beautiful smile. He enjoyed laughing and clowning around, literally, taking the name “Short Pockets.” He was an Eagle Scout, Korean War veteran, life-long member and Leading Knight of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks. He was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council #14898 in Longmont, Colorado.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Mary Vigil, Juanita Montoya, Bertha Montoya, wife Marion, and son Steven Morales. He is survived by his five children, Sharon Bridges, Teresa “Terry” Boyd, Lena Rodriquez, Matthew Morales, and James Morales; step-daughter Judy Harris, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Patrick “Sonny” Morales, sisters Phyllis Sarricchio, Lupe Vigil, Gabriela “Gail” Wheeler, Pauline Crittenden, Kathy Chicado, and Alice Corder, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
