It is with deep sadness and love that we mourn the death of Bradley James Rush on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the age of 31. Bradley passed away peacefully in hospice care surrounded by family after a diagnosis of cancer in 2020.
Bradley was born in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Bear Creek High School in 2009. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in hospitality management in 2013. He was working towards a career in computer science and thrived intellectually in this type of work. Bradley loved spending time with his friends, music festivals, family get-togethers, good meals, and adventures outside like river trips.
He was often quiet upon first encounters, but quickly opened up with an infectious smile into the clever, kind person that was loved by so many. Despite his struggles, Bradley was known by his loved ones for his loyalty, positive outlook in the face of difficulty, and enduring hope. He appreciated and savored the small joys in life, and inspired those around him to do the same. Our treasured memories of Bradley are of his big heart, witty sense of humor, and the love he had for his family and friends. Bradley brought laughter and warmth that will be so missed by those who knew him.
Bradley will be lovingly remembered by his parents Kathryn and James, stepmother Kristen, sister Andrea and brother-in-law Cole, step-siblings Todd and Tracey, step-grandfather Paul, and his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that were so dear to him. He is preceded in death by his stepfather Curtis, grandparents, and step-grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in honor of Bradley to Fight Colorectal Cancer or Urban Peak.
A celebration of Bradley’s life will be held on April 9, 2022 from 2- 6 pm (open house) at Stone House Park, 2900 S. Estes Street Lakewood, CO 80227.
