Died April 29, 2025
Carol was born in Denver, Colorado, to Adolfo and Sylvia Gomez. She was a loving wife to Joe, devoted mother to Joey and Ronnie, and proud grandmother to Tyler, Nathan, and Alex. She was also a beloved sister, aunt, godparent, and friend.
A graduate of West High School, Carol married Joe Espinoza in April 1967. She held various jobs throughout her life, retiring after 21 years of service at Rocky Flats.
A devoted Catholic, Carol gave generously of her time to the Church and its community—cooking, attending activities, and even helping at Bingo games. She cherished praying the rosary and had a beautiful collection she held dear.
Carol was well known for her exceptional cooking and never hesitated to contribute a delicious dish to any occasion. Family was everything to her, and she faithfully attended weddings, birthdays, and family picnics. She was happiest when surrounded by loved ones.
Her laughter was infectious—when Carol laughed, everyone laughed with her.
She had many passions, including traveling the world with family and friends, and shopping—often finding the best deals and giving fabulous gifts. Macy’s may have even known her by name.
Carol took great pride in her home, creating a warm and welcoming space with attention to every detail. Her decorating skills were unmatched, especially during Christmas, her favorite time of year.
There are far too many beautiful memories to capture in words. Carol will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She is forever in our hearts.
