I’m so, so lucky to have had such a wonderful Dad.  His unwavering presence, guidance, and values have influenced me greatly, shaping me as a person and shaping my life.  Dad knew who he was and held true to that through and through.  That meant operating in a kind and gentle manner, being caring and compassionate to others and nature, and focusing on what truly mattered in life – his family and the relationships that he valued.  He shows up in my life each and every day, whether it be through my interactions with others, how I’m phrasing something, or simply through the perspective I have on a specific situation or point.  All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better Dad.  Thank you and I love you.  Lyl Dad!

I was extremely lucky to meet CJ in the summer of 2016.  I was very excited for the opportunity to rent one of his properties. He agreed to meet me over there so we could do a walk through and sign a lease. I pulled up to CJ leaning against his Jeep wearing a flannel and cowboy hat. We immediately found commonalities between the two of us and always had great conversations every time we got together. I always adored his genuine interest he took in my life and the well being of myself and my loved ones. We would sit and chat about everything from traveling, family, business, ideas we have and projects we were working on. We loved trading stories and input on all matters of life. I will miss him dearly, but will cherish the memories we have together and am very thankful for the opportunities the Johnson family has given me. 

I met Charlie, one time, while staying with Carol and Charlie in Colorado. He was charming,  conversational, and he BBQ chicken for our dinner.  Our time together was brief, but I know  that he was a truly magnificent husband and father, adored, respected, and loved by Carol, Kristen and Shannon.  I'll remember Charlie for soft nature, intelligence, and kindness. He was a blessing to all.

Words can not express how sorry we were to hear of C.J's sudden passing.   We always enjoyed sitting down and talking with him, the kindness he always showed to our son and his family.   We will miss him terribly.   He was certainly a jewel among men.     God bless his family.           RIP C.J.                                                                                                               

Words really cannot explain how I feel about CJ's passing. I will miss him and our conversations, texts messages very much. He was such a kind and caring person to me and my family. My family and I loved him. CJ was such a simple, humble,  kind hearted man. He was always up for a good conversation and always liked to talk about our families.  I will miss you CJ!!  The Pennsylvania Pack, and the Barn thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the home , and the friendships you helped let us create. We will never forget you.

I spent 6 months with Charly as my American Dad, as an exchange student from Australia. 
 I remember him sitting in his chair ‘watching the goofball’, hearing him call to his faithful cat “Lankey”, and at Christmas he would sing “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire”, because he knew it would get in my head. I remember him keeping ‘Coors’ beers in the freezer,  and sometimes he’d forget and mom would rouse on him. 
I remember his gentleness, his dry, hilarious sense of humour and his generosity. He was giving with his time and his listening ears. He was and will always be my ‘Dear old American Dad”
