Dan was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Golden, Colorado. On October 13, two years after his birth, his “twin sister” Amber was born. They have always been close. Dan was born into a large family of love. He was the first grandchild of John & Nancy O’Dorisio who had a large part in his life and lived just a few blocks away.
Dan participated in basketball & football, enjoyed hunting with his Dad, was an exceptional gunsmith at an early age, but his favorite past time throughout his life was fishing. His Aunt Nancy taught him to swim at a local pool where he would transition into a mini “Beach Boy Member” with his sun-bleached blond hair, sparkling blue eyes and bronze skin each summer.
Growing up Dan had a plethora of toys (thanks to his doting grandparents) of which his favorites included: anything Star Wars, GI Joe, and his introduction to video games
Throughout his life Dan attended Living Waters Tabernacle. He graduated from Wheat Ridge High School and later in his life he got his Bachelor of Science/Finance from Colorado State University.
After High School Dan explored several job opportunities and eventually found his career in finance working for Wells Fargo and then at Transamerica.
When Dan was five he was diagnosed with Alport’s syndrome which led to his kidney failure in 2013. Over the past twelve+ years he had an array of experiences which included several medical issues and trips to the hospital that made his return to work impossible. The last year of his life was spent reconnecting with family & friends which led to a loving and peaceful home going.
Dan had several people that loved and cared for him. He was on the phone almost daily with his uncle (Pastor) Jesse discussing and growing in the Word of God. His Uncle Jim (MD) had been involved in his medical care since he was five and was always there throughout the last 12 years. He was very close to his Uncle Duane who he loved to talk to and he spent a lot of time with his Grandmother Nancy as they loved to go to breakfast or lunch followed by a short shopping trip.
Dan is survived by his parents Daniel Mountain & Debra O’Dorisio-Mountain, his sister Amber Mountain-Bullis, brother-in-law Matthew Bullis, his nephew Markus Bullis and nieces Olive Bullis & Arden Bullis and Grandmother Nancy O’Dorisio. He also leaves behind two large families of Aunts, Uncles & Cousins that love him so very much.
Dan will be laid to rest next to his Grandpa O’Dorisio whom he loved and respected. He is now joined in heaven with his Grandpa as well as his Great-Grandma O’Dorisio, , Grandma Mountain, Great-Grandpa & Great-Grandma Hill, Cousin Andrew and many other family members and loving saints that were dear to his heart.
Those who knew Dan will remember him for his loving heart, his lapis blue eyes, his endearing smile and his deep-rooted faith in in his beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
