Danielle passed away peacefully at her home in Denver on June 6, 2021 at the age of 53. She was surrounded by her family who supported her as she courageously battled cancer for the last three years. Throughout her illness she maintained a positive attitude and she enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved any activity that included her grandbabies!

Survivors include her husband Irwin, her daughter Stephanie and her husband Edwin; her son William and his wife Heather and three adoring grandchildren Lucille, Sabrina and Zayden. Her mother Diane Grimshaw and her father Jim Grimshaw,

She leaves behind an indelible mark on all who knew her, but especially her family. She loved God, she loved her family and loved her job. She was an amazing L&D Nurse who was very loved by her colleagues, she worked until 6 months before she passed. We are grateful to have been chosen to be a part of her journey this side of heaven. We grieve at our loss but rejoice in the assurance that we will be reunited again one day in heaven!

I’m sorry I can’t be there in person today. I am loving you and thinking about you and your precious family. I am at the Beach ,and I see you as the waves ebb and flow, I see you in the beauty of the clouds, I see your face in the beautiful flowers and the glisten of the sunshine on the sand. I will miss you greatly my dear friend . You have touched as many lives as there are grains of sand on this shore. I Love You.. Lisa

I worked with Dani for 17 years on L & D. She taught me how to be a good, caring, safe R.N. She always put patient & baby safety first. The memory I would like to share is also a Labor labor story in which I only wanted the best R.N. taking care of me, Dani. She cared for me & my first born, Maddi, wonderfully! So attentive, so encouraging and so watchful for my safety. She will forever be remembered as one of the best L & D R.N.'s ever to work at Denver Health and the person who helped bring my daughter into this world! I will miss her dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Rest in Peace Dani <3 <3 <3
