My sympathies go out to all of Diane's family and friends. Diane, also known as Di to some of us who worked with her, always had this infectious joy, laughter and her sense of humor was always present. Her joy, love of life, family, other people as well other places in the world were certainly hallmarks of her rewarding life.
I met Di in 2000 and worked with her on occasion at the Denver Visitor Information Center 1-2 days a week for 7 years as she volunteered there using her exuberance and friendly spirit while helping many people. She could relate so well to many travelers herself having traveled so much around the world. We would love to hear about the places she went to and her experiences there. She was always so quick and witty with her jokes and laughed so hard her tears would fly everywhere. My wife and I will never forget this wonderful Christmas dinner party she hosted, cooking a wonderful roast, having decorations put up, being charming as always and having all her beautiful kachina dolls in this case; a real source of interest and pride for her. It is rare to discover a person with so much positivity and joy as Di had and shared. I consider it such an honor and joy to have worked with her and known her the little bit I did. Terribly missed she will be but never forgotten. RIP Di and keep them laughing in heaven. - James Watson

Diane and I met on a trip to Australia in 2004. We hit it off right away. Then, at Christmas time of the following year, I got a card from her saying she was going to Antarctica next year and wished I could go. Answering her, "I can", we started a travel friendship that lead us through many countries including Antarctica, China, Africa, Croatia and finally, our last trip to Iceland. What a wonderful friendship we had filled with jokes, laughter, adventures and, yes, a few gin and tonics. Travel has not been the same since she hung up her walking shoes! I shall miss her and pray that she rests in peace.

I first met Diane in a bridge group, way back...it must have been around 1970. I will always fondly hold the memory of Diane telling great stories at the bridge table, her good humor, and energy. It saddened me to hear about her declining health, and now, her death. I am so sorry.
