Doris E. Burke

Doris was born on October 30, 1935 in Loveland Colorado to Henry and Lydia Hill. She graduated from Westminster High School in 1953. She met Gerard T. Caisse while working the lunch counter of Woolworth in downtown Denver. They married before he deployed while serving in the Air Force. Doris was a housewife and mother to her sons, working various jobs while her husband served in the Armed Forces. For the last 25 years she devoted herself to working in long term care facilities providing cleaning services and comfort to the facilities patients. She loved her family (including her dog), her flowers, her "stories", and absolutely loved spending time with her family. She will be sorely missed.

Doris is survived by her sons, Gerard Thomas of Glendale Arizona, David Allen of Mascoutah Illinois, and Ronald Lee of Westminster Colorado, sister Lois {Hill} Stambaugh of Denver and brother Herbert Hill Jr. of San Antonio Texas, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lydia Hill of Westminster, Colorado and son Louis Henry of Tucson, Arizona.

A visitation is scheduled for 1 January from 3-5 pm at Crown Hill Mortuary, 2907 Wadsworth Blvd, Wheat Ridge, Co with the funeral scheduled on 2 January at 2pm. Bill Cheyne will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome and encouraged to attend and to celebrate Doris’s life.
