Elmira June Nelson passed to her Heavenly Home on Jan 29, 2023 at age 89. She is survived by her husband, Richard, children Bruce Nelson (Kari), Krystal Finger (Scott), grandchildren Nadya Nelson, Krista Nelson, Stephanie Knott (Calvin), and Christopher Marusin (Jessica). She was preceded in death by her parents, and only sibling, Bernice Krieger.
Elmira was born on June 12, 1933 in the Denver Globeville community to Conrad and Margaret Krieger. She attended Garden Place Elementary, Horace Mann Jr. High, and North High School all in Denver. Elmira met her husband at North High School and they were married on November 30, 1952. This past November, they celebrated their 70th anniversary.
