Fabian was born on November 12, 1942, to Jose Palomares and Frances Salgado. He was married to Luz Hernandez for the past 65 years. He was a loving father to Arturo, Victor, Jose, and Nancy. He was also blessed with 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Fabian worked as a butcher while he lived in Juarez, Mexico. After moving to Denver, Colorado, in 1970, he began his career as a laborer, eventually developing the skills to become a mason. After more than 30 years in construction, he retired and started metal scrapping, always proud of his ability to disassemble anything.
Fabian was a very hardworking, family-oriented man who deeply loved his wife and family, always placing them first. No matter the task, he was ready to take it on. His strong work ethic was evident even when he battled prostate cancer, as he never missed a day of work.
Known affectionately as "My Pelon" by his granddaughter Izel, with whom he was very close, and "Papá Grande" by his great-grandson Luka. He will be deeply missed by his grandson David, who helped his abuelo until the end, and by his granddaughter Gabi (expecting great-grandchild number 7 at the end of June), with whom he always shared a laugh. The joy in his eyes when he saw them will be everlasting, even in his last days.
We love you, Dad.
