Reginald “Gene” Phillips was born September 24, 1926 in Oakland, IA. He moved to Colorado with his mother at the age of 6 or 7. He joined the Navy in 1942 for 4 years. After the service he worked as a plumber with his stepdad. He went to work at Fox Supply as a warehouse supervisor and delivery coordinator for 40 years. He met Gloria, his wife, in 1951 and married in March 1952. They were married for 60 years. They raised two sons, have 5 grandchildren (1 deceased) and many great grandchildren. In that time they lived in Westminster, Northglenn, Conifer, Jefferson, Montrose, and Loveland.
Gene Phillips, 85, passed away on April 1, 2012. Gene was retired from Fox Supply Company. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gloria, son Tim (Chris) Phillips, 4 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. Gene was preceded in death by son Larry and grandson Larry Jr. Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Thurs. with services at 3pm on Fri., both at Crown Hill Mortuary. Burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
