George Edward Miller was born to Frank and Evelyn Miller on February 18, 1938 and passed away peacefully at home at the age of 83 on Friday, March 12, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jeanne Miller, and his three children, Randall Miller, David Miller, and Sarah Neft, as well as his brother Robert Miller. He has four grandchildren: Robyn Rowell, Reece Miller, Samuel Miller, and Joseph Miller, along with two great-grandchildren: Lily Rowell and Jameson Miller. He is preceded in death by his half-brother RG Miller, his half-sister Helen Yeakie, and his daughter Debra Barragan.
After serving in the Army, George worked 18 years at Coors Brewery and then for 30 years at Storage Tech/Oracle, retiring in 2016. Over the years, he enjoyed many hobbies, always with his family. In his “younger years” he played hard dirt biking, snowmobiling, and white water rafting. All of his kids grew up in the bowling alley as George played in leagues most of his life. Every year he would organize a team for the Colorado State Bowling Tournament and the family would join him for the weekend. Later in life he took up golfing nearly every weekend. The one thing he consistently took joy in was traveling, whether on a family vacation, a road trip, camping at his mountain property, or cruising the high seas. Regardless of where he was, he would always raise a glass and say, “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere,” or “Here’s to the first one of the day!” He will be laid to rest next to his mother and grandmother on April 3rd at 9:30am.
