George is survived by his daughter, Robbyn Stober, her husband, Jeremy, and two grandsons, Ed and Nate. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna, in 1998.
George was a graduate of South High and the University of Denver. He spent his life in the Denver area, teaching students from preschool through college. The schools at which he taught included Lake Middle School, Cole, Ebert, and Metro State College.

He worked as Head of Security at Mile High Stadium. Along with Edna, he enjoyed his garden and roses, volunteering at Lutheran Hospital, and traveling the world.
He was loved and will be greatly missed. A joyous reunion with Edna has already occurred.
Funeral services will be held on George’s 84th birthday, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 3pm in the Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace. A reception will follow at 9386 Webster Way, Westminster 80021.
