He was born in Potter, Wisconsin to Gerhard and Adele Schreiber Riedel. Jerry was a World War II veteran serving in France and East Germany. He worked as an accountant and vice-president of accounting in the manufacturing business.
He was married to his wife, Juliet Stroh Riedel for 50 years prior to her death in 2003. Jerry is survived by cousins and his best friend, Jim (Linda) Cluck.
