Helen Marie Martinez, 71 of Denver, Colorado, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 6, 2015. She was born in Leadville, Colorado on March 16, 1944 to Daneil G. and Eloisa J. (Cardenas) DeHererra. She grew up in Monte Vista, CO but had lived most of her life in Denver, CO. Helen enjoyed time with her family, she was an amazing cook and she enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by four children, Christopher J. (Christine) Martinez of Denver, Christina M (Roger) Echartea of Aurora, Eloise S. (Richard) Lucero of Englewood, and Donald M. Montoya of Denver. Grandchildren, Gabriel Baca, Janelle Baca( Paul Borbiliac), Joseph Martinez(Jenny Romero) , Donovan Martinez(Mackenzie Kahley) , Matthew(Shawntell) Martinez, Angelo Martinez, Samantha Caswell (Jeff Miller) , Chantella Lucero, Maria Lucero, Michelle Lucero and Joseph Montoya, great grandchildren, Jerome Baca, Elijah Borbiliac, Isabella Brobiliac, Izeah Borbiliac, Aliyah Martinez, Annalyse Martinez and Matthew Martinez, one brother Lewis DeHerrera of Denver, four sisters, Sally Martinez of Thornton, Josephine Martinez of Aurora, Marian Ruiz of Denver and Rose(Richard) Rode of Commerce City, and many nieces and nephews.
