Herbert "Herb" Adam Wildeman, age 86, of Denver, Colorado was born on November 14, 1938 on his parents farm in Gove County, Kansas. He was a devoted husband to Janet "Jan" (Stillwagon) and a loving father to Sherri (Callahan), Joseph, Andrew, Benjamin, Shelly (Gonzales), Kelly (Hughes), and Angel Wildeman.
Herb was hard working and dedicated, with both his work life and for his family. He spent forty four years with Martin Marietta (Lockhead Martin) as a machinist and fabricator where he was known for working on the most difficult and meticulous parts used in our space shuttles for NASA. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and passions.
Though Herb may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of integrity, kindness, generosity, and corny dad jokes. He left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His devotion and the love he showed towards his wife, Jan, would make anyone think, "This is the kind of love one could only dream of".
Herb’s hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed woodworking, fixing anything, gardening, and fishing. His love for fixing things was something he shared with his children, leaving a mark on them that will never fade.
Herb was survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him greatly.
We find comfort in knowing that Herb’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
