Sam is a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force. He was a Vietnam Vet and did two tours as a gunner on the Spectre AC-130 gunship, where he was honored for his achievements with the Distinguished Flying Cross. Sam was a Denver County Deputy Sherriff and a former President of the Denver County Sherriff’s Union.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; son Jess Burnham; daughter Kerrie Burnham; grandchildren: Brittnee, Carly and Meghan and brothers William Burnham and Fred Brennan.
Funeral service will be Friday, November 21, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at the Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace.
