Born February 10, 1930 and passed away January 29, 2013. Survived by children Criss (Mark) Cates, Cherie (Mike) Byron and Debi (Barry) Stinson, grandchildren Carrie Williams, Angie Henson, Logan Cates, Laura Sicks, Michael Byron, Natalyia Rutherford, Kaytie Stinson, Jarah Atkins, Kristen Lunceford, Jon Byron, Dave Byron and Ashleigh Rakestraw, 23 great grandchildren, and brother Ron (Jean) Carter. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancey Carter in 1982, son Dave Carter, grandsons Dustin Carter and Caleb Carter, sister Patsy Cobb, brother Dave Carter and his parents Jack and Ruth Carter. Served in the US Navy and was a minister most of his life. He will be lovingly remembered.
