Jeanne was born July 21, 1930, in Denver, Colorado. She was put in an orphanage and, at the age of nine months, was adopted by Edward and Lucille Hoselton. They gave her a good life. She lived her entire life in Colorado. She graduated from Brighton Hugh School in 1949. She had several bookkeeping jobs and worked 5 years as a doctor's assistant. Her last job was with General Electric Credit Corporation. She was a supervisor in the customer service department and retired after 25 years.
She married Robert Caudel in 1951, which ended in divorce after 10 years. Jeanne had 3 sons, Richard aka Rick, Michael and Kris. At 6 weeks Michael died of SIDS and in 1964 Kris lost his life in an automobile accident. It almost took Jeanne's life as well. She later met Bob Butz, they married in 1972. That marriage brought two step-sons, John and Tom. Rick married Janelle Thompson. In 1979 Jeanne's first grandson, Mark Caudel was born followed by a granddaughter, Amy Caudel in 1981. Amy and her husband, Ted Hanley, made Jeanne the proud great-grandmother of Ella in 2007 and Elliott in 2009. Jeanne asked to be called G.G.
John Butz married Dawn Godfrey and again made Jeanne happy to have two more grandchildren, Sarah Beth and Graham. Tom Butz married Karen Braden and while they had no children they enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. Grandson, Mark Caudel and Bridgette Mendoza brought forth another great-grandson, Ricky, to Jeanne's delight. After the death of Jeanne's parents she spent considerable time to research her biological background to no avail. Through Ancestry.com she did find out her heritage to be 85% Scandinavian, 10% German, and 5% unknown.
Bob and Jeanne traveled throughout the USA including Alaska and Hawaii, took nine cruises and enjoyed road trips. They had 35 years of a fun-filled marriage. Bob died in 2006. She and the family purchased a plaque on the cross in the Columbarium to be remembered and to show their love for their church, Holy Comforter.
After Bob's death Jeanne kept busy doing volunteer work mostly at Holy Comforter. She loved to shop, to read, to garden. She got by with the computer but never like the Smartphone. She said it was smarter than she.
She cherished the time spent with family and friends. And, she was always more than happy to show pictures of the grandkids. She wants her family to know how much she loved them and how very proud she was of them.
