Sadly, she left us suddenly on Tuesday January 12, 2022, at the age of 75. Jeannette was born in Brush Colorado to Alex and Gladys Moore on July 27, 1946. She grew up in Denver and graduated in 1964 from Abraham Lincoln High School. Shortly after graduating she married her high school sweetheart Harold Philip Oaks. Together they had 2 children, a son Harold Thomas Oaks and a daughter Jacqueline Marie Oaks.
As a single working mother of 2 she still managed to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree from Metro State college.
She was very proud to have worked for Ball Corporation for over 25 years. During which time she had the opportunity to mix business with leisure and travel throughout the United States.
But her true passion was art. Jeannette had an appreciation for all kinds of art. She was lucky enough to study art throughout her life while expressing herself in numerous mediums such as oil painting, watercolor, charcoal, pastels and of course pottery.
After retiring she kept herself busy with not only art but gardening along with many home improvement projects. Her greatest joy came from spending carefree days with her 6 grandchildren.
Jeannette is survived by her son, daughter, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and now 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and the father of her children.
Services will be held on Thursday January 20, 2022, at 2:00 pm in the Olinger’s Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery. Followed by a reception at her family’s home.
