Jeremiah "Jj" James Deschryver

Jeremiah James DeSchryver shined the light of his soul into this world on May 29, 1998. With big brown eyes and a dimpled smile, he was the apple of all of our eyes. His nickname was immediately JJ until he was a couple months old and we realized that his appetite had no bounds and neither did the size of his cheeks...earning him his new nickname-Chubba Bubba. He was born into a big family with plenty of people to hold him and spoil him at even the slightest whimper. He knew it too...often fake crying just so someone would pick him up. He was a charmer even back then. He also had a temper. If he couldn't reach something, do something he wanted or couldn't have something he wanted, he would let you know. That never changed either. When his brother Alec was born a couple years later, Jeremiah had found his best friend and partner in crime. He talked Alec into doing anything and like the good little brother he is, Alec was there getting into mischief with JJ. Over time, Jeremiah James grew to be a handsome, fun loving kid. Like his mama, he loved animals and if he couldn't rescue them, he fed them...like his pet squirrel, Squirrely. During his journey, there were many bumps in the road. He fought tooth and nail to overcome so many obstacles and demons. But he always fought the good fight...even if he made mistakes. Jeremiah was dark and wild but he had a heart of pure gold. His loyalty was unwavering. He would protect anyone he loved or that loved him...and who didn't love him? He was funny and goofy and such a charmer. You wanted to be around Jeremiah and feel his spirit. He was the sweetest guy in the room despite his tough exterior. Jeremiah married his wife Haylie in 2017 and in September of 2018, the beautiful Kora Lynn DeSchryver was born, making their family, including little Anthony, complete. Jeremiah loved his baby girl to the moon and back. Kora was what JJ had always wanted and needed. She looks just like him and eats just like him too (those cheeks!) Jeremiah continued to fight hard battles until the very end. On Monday, January 28, 2019, Jeremiah’s beautiful, bright light left this Earth while surrounded by people who loved and adored him beyond measure. Survived by his mother Tiara and dad Jason (wife Eryn), wife Haylie and children Anthony and Kora, best friend and brother Alec and sister Celeste, brother Eli, brothers Joey, Jimmy and Chandler, sisters Harmony and Ashleigh, Aunt Shanti and Uncle Mike, Uncle Kirk and Aunt Amber, Uncle Tyler, Uncles Jimmy and Ryan, Grandmas Krisiti and Deb and Grandpa Lee and many cousins, great Aunts and Uncles and friends who just adored him. We know his Great-Grandma Marlene was there waiting for him. We love him so much! Our hearts are broken but we will see you again, our Chubba Bubba. We just know it.
