

He was born on February 17,1952 to Margaret Muniz and Prudencio Martinez and had 5 sisters, 2 brother's and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a Colorado Native and lived in Commerce City, Fort Lupton, and Brighton.
He will always be remembered for his giant sense of humor, his love of music and reading his Bible daily. He used his humor through good times and bad to make others feel better and put others needs above his own. Some of his hobbies included; running, bicycling, lifting weights, fishing, playing football, baseball, and kickball with his children, nephews, neighborhood children and grandchildren.
His greatest joy was becoming a grandfather as he helped raise 4 of them; teaching them valuable life skills and lessons. He cherished watching all sports games with them every time a
home team would play.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Alice Martinez, his daughter Lana Martinez, his stepsons Jason/April Pierce, Terry/Ruth Pierce, his grandchildren Azriel/Eddie, Ray/Cassie, Isaac, Adrian, Jay Ray, James, Olivia, Justin, Kimberly, Eric, Sandra, Xavier, Angel, Phillip, Jerome Martinez III, and Mia, and 5 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jerome Jr. Martinez, his mother Margaret Vargas, his father Prudencio Martinez and his brother-in-law Juan Holguin.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to share their lives with him.
A private memorial service dedicated to his memory will be held on an unspecified date as arrangements are still being made at this time.
