Jim grew up in Brooklyn NY. He was always working with cars as a teen, which led to a career in mechanics which began in 1968. He had an overwhelming talent to fix anything he put his hands on or create whatever he needed from scratch. He moved around a bit until he settled down in Colorado in 1982, where he met and later married Pam. Pam and Jim enjoyed a beautiful successful marriage that lasted for more than 40 years. After his career as a mechanic, he drove for Greyhound and then started his own tree service delivering firewood during the winter season. He enjoyed building whatever he needed; like a shed, tables, shelves and even chairs. His love for the outdoors included hunting, fishing, camping and snowmobiling, but his true passion developed after he retired when he took up an old pastime of riding motorcycles. Once he started riding again, there was no turning back! He would take a daily ride around the outskirts of town in all directions just to enjoy the day no matter what the weather would bring. Often he and his wife would ride over to the wildlife reserve to sit and watch the Buffalo and Deer grazing in the fields. Some of his favorite moments included those times when he would see an Eagle or Falcon fly overhead.
Jim is survived by his wife Pam, his sister Rosa (Julio) Agramonte, brother David (Alcira) Collazo and his 3 children, James, Amy and Matthew. He has several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
