Joan Farrell age 91 of Arvada, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at Colorado Lutheran Home on Sunday Evening, May 17th. Joan was born in 1923 and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She worked many years as a registered nurse, while raising 3 boys Pat, Bill and Bob. After she retired in 1988 she moved to Colorado to be with family. Joan was a devoted Catholic and longtime parishioner of Spirit of Christ Church in Arvada. Joan is survived by her sons: Pat (Donna), Bill (Eileen) and Bob (Linda); grandchildren: Patrick (Stacey), Janine (Mike) Dwyer, Denise (David) Wells, Megan (Mike) Ragsdale, Leah (Bret) Robards, Adam, Tracie, Drew (Katie), Amanda (Jeremy) Walsh, Lauren, and Gina (Tim) Welihan; great grandchildren: Patrick, Sofia, Gabriella, Josie, Bella, Kyla, Forrest, Maddy, Aidan, Ella, Grace, Ethan and Emily. Visitation will be Thursday, May 21, 4-8:00 P.M. at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be Friday, May 22 at 9:00 A.M. at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church (80th & Vance). In lieu of flowers donations are preferred to the Colorado Lutheran Home.
