Wife of the late John Hathaway. Eldest daughter of six children of Dean and Kathy Howell. She is survived by her four sisters and two brothers, her daughter, Shannon Silva, and son, Shawn Dempsey. Joanie also has six grandchildren.
Her passion for the Lord lead her to 23 years of service in inner city missions to people of New Orleans Louisiana. She enjoyed watching movies, playing games with her grandchildren and spending time with friends and family. She loved singing and dancing. Joanie had a flare for crafts and loved making things for others and sharing the love of Christ with everyone she met.
A memorial service for Joanie will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Urban Impact Ministries in New Orleans, where Joanie worked for 23 years, www.urbanimpact.org
