Joe Dean Wyckoff was born October 15, 1933 in Bedford, Iowa to Fred Edward Wyckoff and Helen Marie Wooten Wyckoff both deceased. He had 3 siblings; 2 brothers, Jerry Wyckoff and Jack Wyckoff. Both deceased. He had 1 sister, Joann Wyckoff Scofield, also deceased. He also has 5 half sisters.

He married Evelyn Arlene Harig Wyckoff on January 1, 1956. He has 3 children; Evelyn "EvieJo" Wyckoff Ontiveros, married to John Ontiveros, Donna Marie Wyckoff Highland Esquibel married to Steven Esquibel, Heidi Ellen Wyckoff Schwaberow married to Michael Schwaberow.

He has 6 grandchildren; Joshua Highland married to Sarah, Stephanie Esquibel Deetjen married to Eric Deetjen, Kelly Schwaberow married to Lindsey, Lindsay Schwaberow Romero married to Isaac Romero, Aaron Ontiveros married to Amber, Amber Ontiveros married to Jordon Lockard.

He has 11 great grandchildren; JosephDavid (JD) Highland, Steven, Joseph and Michael Deetjen; Gabriel, Ila, Benaiah and Matthias Schwaberow; Luca Romero, Riley and Aiden Lockard. He has 3 people he would like to add that were like his own; Jason Lloyd now deceased, Carol Kats and Bobby Scott.

Joe lived with his parents until he was 4 years old at which time his mother passed away. He went to school in Bedford, Iowa. When he was 17 years old he went into the U.S. Navy serving 3 years on the USS Boxer, which was a large Aircraft Carrier during the Korean War. When he got out of the Navy he came to Denver. He lived with his uncle Mike and aunt Ruby Bean until he married Evelyn. They were married for 66 wonderful years.
