John was the third of six children: Theresa, Joseph, John, Albert, Leo, and Ronnie. His five siblings preceded him in death; Leo and Joe passed away only 24 and 21 days before John. John lived a life filled with passion for work and dedication to his family. His beloved wife, Margaret Josephine Bellio, preceded him in death in 2014. John and Margaret married in 1951 and built a beautiful life together. Together, they owned and operated Mile-Hi Cleaning, a janitorial company in Denver, Colorado. They worked side-by-side for over 27 years with over 100 employees before semi-retiring to their farm in Silt, Colorado. John is survived by his two sons, Donald G. Bellio (Barb) and John W. Bellio (Petra); four grandchildren, Jennifer Judge (Aaron Gulley), Jeff Bellio (Lindsay), Lisa Webb (Trevor), and Alan Bellio; four great-grandchildren: Hannah Webb, Cooper Webb, Isabella Bellio, and Orion Bellio; several nieces and nephews.
John loved his family, which is evident in everything he did to provide for them. John's greatest joy came from a good, hard day of work imparting that life lesson to his two boys. His diverse talents and passion for farming came from his father, who ran multiple farms growing vegetables in Denver and Granby, Colorado. John's legacy of love, creativity, and generosity will live on through the many lives he touched. John was a one-of-a-kind, impressive guy. He loved telling stories, took great pride in sharing his knowledge of fun facts, and enjoyed crooning to pop songs of the 40’s and 50’s.
