In life you are blessed by some of the individuals God put in your life, John was one of those.   I got to know John through Joe Lee and John and I got to be good friends and hunting partners.   John was a man of quiet strength and confidence with a great sense of integrity and loyalty, rare traits in today's world.  John enjoyed people, life and adventure.   I loved his calm manner and yet his childish excitement of little things, in addition to his sense of humor.   We were blessed to know him and will miss him greatly.

My name is Rex Hewitt.It was at least 20yrs ago I met John when he came to Calvary B.C.When we merged two church's . We had a men's breakfast every month and John would join us until he was no longer able to.I would listen to John speak of his adventures.I believe John extracted the most out of his life as anybody possibly could.His testimony of love for church, the Bible and family have been etched in my mind as a guide for the rest of my days. I don't know if I was a best friend to John but I know that he was a best friend to me.I get to see him again some day, and I am glad about that.

We were blessed to know John for several years.  He was a good man and a true friend.  He will be greatly missed.  He's probably building something in Heaven right now.    Gayle & Sharon

Uncle John was the back bone of his family both with his Sister and Brother as well as all his Nieces and Nephews. He loved being with his children and great grandchildren and love being with him. He always had a tinkle in his eye for you.  He was dearly loved by all of his family and will be missed very much.  I Love you very much Uncle John.  Love Cindy Daugherty
