John K. Detrick, age 96, passed away March 8, 2017. John was born and raised in Denver, graduating from Denver University with his Master’s Degree in chemical engineering. He worked as a chemical engineer for Du Pont for over 40 years on the East Coast, before returning to Colorado. John is survived by his daughter in law Carolyn Detrick; granddaughters: Kim Detrick and Karen (Joe) Vendetta and three grandchildren: Andrew Schmickley, Taylor Vendetta and Lindsay Vendetta. He was preceded in death by his companion Doris Finnie and his wife of many years Connie Detrick. Private services to be held.
