Near the river three boys emerged from the long grass at the waters edge marveling at the big iron bridge high above them; today’s parents would be totally aghast at their little boys “exploring” miles from home into the land of new experiences-where does that road lead. Suddenly, out of the tall grass came a tumbling of arms and legs then a little fellow gets up and trundles off to catch with that little group of explorers.
Soon (to soon) the four explorers went their separate ways, going down new roads wandering the world. John, you joined the Army during a difficult time for our great country: You retuned home to a changing nation that forgot to honor your patriotism. Today we are here to return that honor; with a tear in our eye it was an honor to know you.
John Walter Harker our little brother, husband, father and friend; you will be remembered for that ready smile and for the things you did for your family. We see hope in the young faces you helped during your time here. Pray for them as they move on with life as your good deeds will be their guidance to go forth in happiness.
Brother John you now lead us on a new road to be explored, as you go forward watch over us until we tumble from the long grass of life to catch up.
"Brothers share childhood memories and grown-up dreams. ~Author Unknown"
James, Ernest, Clifford, and our families far and wide, we love you… Go In Honor Go In Peace
