John was survived by wife Barbara Santestevan, two sons Carlos (Elvira) Santistevan, Dennis Santistevan, two stepsons Brian and Sonny Quintana, three sisters Jessica (Richard) Olguin, Joann (Manuel) Lujan, and Betty Valenzuela. Along with three grandchildren Marina Santistevan, Julian Santistevan, and Ezequiel Santistevan, and also numerous nephews nieces and cousins.
