John P. Ward, age 97, passed away October 13, 2015 in Westminster, CO. John was born March 14, 1918 in Woodsfield, OH. In 1933 at age 15 the family moved to Columbus, OH where he grew up. In 1941 John joined the U.S. Army and fought in WWII as a Master Sergeant. John retired from Sunstrand Aviation as a mechanical engineer and he enjoyed photography and automobiles. He is survived by his last surviving sibling of eight, his sister Ruth Tabor; grandchildren Judith, Patricia and Tim; 3 great grandsons; 2 great granddaughters; 8 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his wife Louise and step-son Raymond Daniel. Visitation will be Monday, October 19, 2015 from 5-7pm, funeral service will be Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 10:30am both at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary.
