

Judith Slack, also known as Judy, passed away on May 20,2023 at the age of 87 at home in Arvada, Colorado. She was born on July 17, 1935 in Madison, WI, to parents Florence and Joseph Pinckard. She was married to Garry Covey for 42 years until his passing in 1996. She is survived by her children, Karie Poelman, Jay Covey and his wife Barbara and Chris Waterman and her husband Dean. She had 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
In December 2010 she married Donald Slack, and Peg Mason and her husband Ferril, David Slack and his wife Rhonda and Martin Slack and his wife Chellie who predeceased Judy, joined the family with 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She loved her big family.
Judy was a loving and generous person who enjoyed giving to charities that she believed in. She was always ready to help. Her favorite color was pink, she loved flowers, her dog Sara Sue and her cat Miss Daisy. She enjoyed a variety of hobbies including shopping and taking road trips with her husband, Don, to Texas and New Mexico to visit family.
Her faith was strong, and she worshipped at both Life Church and Arvada Baptist Church.
She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed. Our lives will not be the same without her, but we know she is in heaven rejoicing with her Lord Jesus Christ.
A service will be held for Judy on Wednesday May 31st at 10:00 am at Life Church, located at 3400 Industrial Lane in Broomfield, CO. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery at 2:30pm.
