Karen (Karin) Marie Mortensen 70, of Aurora, Colorado passed away gently on February 1st, 2018. Karen was born in Regensburg, Germany on July 16th, 1947 to Otto and Ernestine Mortensen. She grew up with two brothers Pete and Mort. For many years she worked as a data entry clerk for the government. Karen had four children Johnathan, Kimberly, Michael and Sean.
She is survived by her children Johnathan Mortensen (Betty), Kimberly Henshaw, Michael Rinow (Justine) and Sean Stark. As well as her brother Pete Mortensen, sister in law Bonnie Mortensen, grand children Victoria Cullison (Bradley), Michael Maldonado (Amber), Faith Rinow, Kindree Rinow, Ashton Rinow, Reaghan Rinow, Katelyn, Angela, Daniel, Trinity and also great grandchildren Brenden, Michael, Blake, Noah and Myles. She also has multiple nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents Otto Eugene and Ernestine Rosa Mortensen as well as her brother Mort Mortensen.
Karen will be missed dearly by the entire family as well as her friends. Please come and help the family celebrate Karen's life and share some beautiful stories at the memorial service.
