Karen Lee Rivet, age 66, of Denver, CO, passed away on September 08, 2025.
Born on January 14, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, to the late Mary L. Stallings and Rufus B. Stallings. Karen was preceded in death by her spouses, by her adoring brother, James Stallings, and most recently her sweet dog Della.
Karen is survived by her sister Lynn Michael; nieces Charlene Lowe, Kristi Michael, and Leigh Guannu; nephews Jason Stallings, David Michael, and Devin Stallings; and their children, who lovingly referred to Karen as Aunt Karen, too.
Karen graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, and spent much of her adult life working alongside her family in the auto industry. She lived her life fully and loved with all of her heart. Karen made friends with people of all walks of life, and accepted everyone with open arms and an open mind.
Her spirited nature and fiery passion occasionally led her into trouble, but it was this very energy that fueled her deep caring for her loved ones. Karen was especially devoted to her mother, Mary Stallings, ensuring she had everything she needed in her later years. Her love extended to her cherished pets, whom she considered her “babies,” and she cared for them with the same tenderness and devotion.
Karen will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
In accordance with Karen’s wishes, there will not be a formal funeral service. However, family and friends are welcome to visit her gravesite at Crown Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Karen’s name to MaxFund honoring Karen's devotion to her furry friends.
