

Katharina Lee, 84, of Castle Rock, Colorado, passed away December 22, 2016. Celebration of Life will be at the Crown Hill Pavilion on Friday, January 6th, 2017 at 3pm with a Dignity Celebrant. A reception will follow at the Crown Hill Reception Center.
Katharina Lee was born on June 25, 1932 in Czechoslovakia, fifth of eight children. Her family eventually moved to Germany where she lived until she met Willis and married December 29, 1958 in Furth, Germany. They were happily married for 58 years.
As Willis was in the Army, they moved back and forth from the US to Germany until 1976 where they officially settled in Colorado. Katharina became an American Citizen on August 20th, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She enjoyed cooking, of which she was an excellent cook, gardening, traveling through Europe, the US and Mexico, knitting and crocheting and being outdoors. Most importantly, though, she loved being a wife to Willis, mother to her two children Anita and Daniel and a grandmother to Chelsey.
Katharina is survived by her husband Willis Lee, son Daniel Lee, daughter-in-law Dianne Lee, granddaughter Chelsey Akers, grandson-in-law Jason Akers, great granddaughter Amoray Akers, sisters Adele Werthner and Annie Doerher and brother Adolf Muller. She was preceded in death by her daughter Anita Salazar on Aug 6, 2008.
