

She came to the end of her road.
Her choices were clear, yet frozen with fear,
She wondered which way to go.
One way was simple, accepting it all.
The other way offered her peace.
When she made her decision,
Her vision became her release.
Kristine Mary Stahl, born April 2, 1950, surrendered to her struggle with Lupus, on December 21, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving husband George Grant, of Mead, Colorado. Her devoted mother, Sarah Belle (Irvine) Stahl, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Her father, Theodore John Stahl, of Fayetteville, Arkansas. And her beautiful niece, Annabelle McNulty, of Parker, Colorado.
Kris is survived by her beloved dog, Leo. Her sisters: Leah Catherine (Stahl) Miley, of St Louis, Missouri, and Constance Belle Stahl, of Kiowa, Colorado. One niece, Nichole (Sean) Burgess, three nephews, Jacob (Shannon) Lofland, Richard (Shauna) Van Slyke, Gary Miley II, and thirteen grandnieces and grandnephews. Kris is also mourned by her mother’s baby sister, Aunt Nona (Irvine) Lanier, of Kansas City, Missouri. Lastly, by George’s nieces and nephew: Sue, Carol, and Peter in Great Britain.
Thank you to Kristin and Aaron, for opening their hearts and welcoming Leo into their family. And a heartfelt thank you to Roberta and Doug, for answering their neighbor’s need with both compassion and support.
A memorial service is being planned for April 2026.
