Lorri was born on March 11, 1958 to Margaret and Raymond Nemecek in Denver CO. She was the fourth of seven children and was the only one to favor her father's side of the family with her dark hair and olive skin tone. She was in the middle of the clan, the baby for seven years and then a big sister to her younger siblings.
Lorri graduated from Jefferson High school in 1976. She worked at Peppertree Beef Company with her brother-in-laws until an injury prevented her from going back to the company. She found her place working at Texaco/Chevron while attending Metropolitan State College 1991-1992. She also attended Columbia Southern University in Texas working on a degree for occupational safety and health/fire science. At Texaco, she met the love of her life, Tom Duncan. She worked and traveled alongside him for many years, while living in Connecticut and then Texas.
Lorri traveled the world on various oil projects for the company and was in charge of safety and graphic design for presentations. She received numerous awards and received recognition on all the projects she worked on. She stayed with Texaco/Chevron until she retired and then returned to Colorado in 2017 to be close to family.
Lorri was talented, crafty and always willing to give. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting, blessing many of us with projects created by her loving hands. She loved to read, watch Hallmark movies and cook while listening to music. She made a mean pot of green chili and always provided the breakfast pie at Easter brunch.
She is survived by sisters; Linda (David) Reinebold, Mary (Ray) Cabri, Patti (Rob) Bartell, Susie (Rusty) Gager, Jeanne (Shane) Teggart, brother Joe (Joni) Nemecek, nieces Jennifer (Troy) Richmond, Jennifer Cabri, Courtney (Shea) Dunivent, nephew Tyler Gager, nieces Kaylee (Ayden) Espinosa, Kassidee Teggart, Amy and Angie Nemecek, as well as, numerous grand nieces, nephews, and cousins.
