LaVera Jane Carlson

LaVera was born in Fort Lupton, Colorado on July 28, 1928. After graduating from Fort Lupton High School, she attended the University of Denver and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. After graduation, LaVera worked for a bank in Loveland, Colorado, Mountain Fuel Supply Company in Ogden, Utah and Joslins in Lakewood, Colorado.

LaVera was deeply devoted to family and friends and prided herself in being a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother.

LaVera was preceded in death by her father, Ernest V. Johnson ( 1937), her mother, Mary McCoy Johnson (1959), her son, Gary A. Carlson ( 1994), and her brother, Ernest R. Johnson ( 2012). LaVera is survived by her husband of more than 62 years, Duane A. Carlson, a sister Betty Ritter, a daughter Sherrie and her husband Kirk Czirr, and grandsons Kyle and Erik Czirr.

LaVera will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends.

Burial will be at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery located at 7777 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday March 5, 2013 at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in LaVera’s memory to the American Heart Association (P.O. Box 841125 Dallas, Texas 75284).
