"Vern" entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 23, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his father, Luther; mother, Lily; and brothers, Lawrence and Luther Jr.
Vern was the founder and CEO of Martinez International Corp., a leading government contractor in the international market. Martinez International has led construction on facility upgrades around the world to keep U.S. diplomats, troops and Foreign Service workers warmer, cooler and safer.
He is survived by his wife, Francie; children, Lisa and Chris; stepchildren, Dennis, Christopher and Alexis Laughlin; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Alvarado; brothers, Leroy and Lemuel Martinez and several nieces and nephews.
Most important in Vern's life was his faith in God, love of family and allegiance to country.
