Lillian J. (Warchol, Shanahan) Montgomery, 102, of Lakewood, Colorado passed away July 31, 2022. She was born to the late Ignatz and Karolina (Moskowska) Warchol on September 1, 1919 in New Britain, Connecticut. She resided in Hartford, Connecticut before relocating to Denver, Colorado in the 1940's. Lillian earned her high school GED while working at Samsonite Corporation in Denver, Colorado, where she retired as a department supervisor.
Lillian is survived by her two sons and their families; William and Karen (Bauer, Decker) Shanahan, Richard and Gayle (Galloway) Shanahan, grandchildren; Kelleen (Shanahan) and Ken Wright, Debra Shanahan, Karen (Shanahan) and Kurt Weaver, Sean and Patricia "Dolly" (Waalkens) Shanahan, Tamara Decker and Matt Stinson and Mark Decker as well as 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Known as Lil to her friends and "Bobchie" to her family, she loved to travel and has been all over the United States and has visited many foreign countries. She was also a major fan of the Denver Broncos, and proudly wore orange and blue on gameday. She loved family gatherings, especially during the holidays. Above all she knew how to make it all fun.
Lillian was preceded in death by her late husband Ralph V. Montgomery and siblings John Warchol, Helen (Warchol) Kacin, and Henry Warchol.
