

Louise Ann Treff-Gangler, 79, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025. Born February 23, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Walter Treff and Marion Ryan, Louise lived a rich and dynamic life marked by creativity, adventure, and a deep commitment to those around her.
As a Library Administrator, Louise nurtured a love for knowledge and community connection throughout her career. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in reading, quilting, sewing, and volunteering. Her passion for the outdoors shone through in her love for camping, motorcycling, and ATV adventures. Louise also cherished attending concerts in the park, sharing music and memories with loved ones. A devoted sports enthusiast, she cheered fervently for Denver’s Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche, and, most especially, the Rockies and Chicago Cubs. Known for her generosity, Louise was always ready to lend a hand, offer guidance, or provide support, making her a pillar of strength for her family, friends, and community.
Louise leaves behind her son, Rich Stwalley; her nephew, John Hammond; and her grandchildren, Jade Stwalley, Julia Stwalley, Jason Stwalley, and Michael Roybal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Treff and Marion Ryan, and her cherished husband, George Gangler.
Louise’s warmth, creative spirit, and zest for life will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation for Louise will be held Monday, August 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cem, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. A funeral will follow at 11:00 AM. A graveside will occur at 12:00 PM.
