

Mable L. Holesworth, 100, passed away May 2, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born December 6, 1914 in Canon City, Colorado to Charles M. and Lou Ella (Anthony) Bailey. She graduated from Canon City High School in June, 1932. She attended one semester of nurses training and she also attended one year of night courses in bookkeeping at Mesa Junior College, Grand Junction, Colorado.
Mable worked hard to help provide for her family. She worked as a bookkeeper for several Colorado area small businesses, including Don’s Dies, General Tire Service, and Williams Refining Co. She was in sales for Denver Dry Goods Co., Hesteds, and Newberrys. She was also employed at Sweetbriar Shops in bookkeeping and sales. Mable was an ambitious and loving woman. She was a District Representative for the V.F.W. and she enjoyed oil painting, crafts, reading and sewing, playing piano and teaching Sunday school.
Mable was united in marriage to Charles Eli Holesworth, Sr. on July 16, 1935. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1972. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Margarette (Bailey) Madison and her husband, Fletcher Madison. She is survived by her children, Charles E. (Karen) Holesworth, Jr. and Audrey Eloe; grandchildren, Jody (Scott) Bundy and David (Katie) Eloe; great grandchildren, Addie, Trey, Joel and Bailey Eloe and Levi and Josiah Bundy; and niece, Jackie (Bob) Turner.
Her funeral service will be held at 3p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 W. 29th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
