It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Manuel Blanco Perez, who left peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the age of 96. He was surrounded by family and love in his final moments, a testament to the life he lived and the bonds he cherished.
In life, Manuel was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in being outdoors and working on old cars. He was also never one to shy away from a day's worth of hard work. In his lifetime his work ranged from laboring in the agricultural fields as a young man to learning the trades of a barber, leatherworker, and craftsman.
Throughout his life, Manuel also dedicated himself to building a strong foundation for his family. He led by example instilling a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, commitment, and love.
A celebration of Manuel’s life will be held on October 12, 2024, at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, where family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate his life.
As we say goodbye to a remarkable brother, father, grandfather and friend, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy of hard work and love lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Manuel is survived by siblings John Martinez and Mike Martinez, children Josefina T. Vega, Manuel “Tony” Perez, Eliseo Perez, grandchildren Angelica Mireles, Elisabet Mireles-Pagtakhan, Waldo Jr. Vega, Crystal Vega, Toni Shantell Padilla Perez, Manuel Ezekiel Angel Perez, Toni Jezabell Perez, Manuel Eliseo Jose Perez, and great-grandchildren Angelica Leilani Pagtakhan, Sienna Elisabeth Pagtakhan, and Daniela Valentina Vega.
Manuel was predeceased by siblings Socorro Perez Valdez, Cruz Martinez Morua, Joe Martinez, Alfonso Martinez, Ruth Martinez, Mauro Martinez, and Mary Martinez, granddaughter Rosemary Perez, and great-granddaughters Olive and Mina Mireles-Pagtakhan.
