Marie R. Osse

They all moved to Rock Springs, WY with their father John who was a miner. After graduating high school Marie moved to Denver where she met Don Osse, they married in 1957, and moved to Wheat Ridge to raise their family. Marie worked for many years as a teacher for Jefferson County Schools until she retired.

Marie loved to love on people, and was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She loved writing and recording her thoughts and experiences over the decades. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. Marie was active as a member of Applewood Valley Methodist Church, WMWA’s and many other community groups over the years.

Marie is survived by her sister Jean, her three children and their spouses; David and Katie Osse, Janet and Andy Lowry and Michael, and four grandchildren; Ryan, Abby, Thomas and Katlyn. She was preceded in death by her sister Ann and beloved husband Don. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Her funeral service, officiated by Pastor Angie Katzmoyer, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8th at Applewood Valley United Methodist Church, 2055 Ellis Street, Golden, CO 80401. Services will be followed by a short reception at the Church. Her final resting place will be beside her husband at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge.
