She graduated from Englewood High School in 1951. Marlene enjoyed many hobbies throughout her years including square dancing, sewing, and reading. She also loved to explore the Rocky Mountains and being with her family. She worked as the secretary to the chief of the Englewood, CO Fire Department, retiring in 1996.
She was preceded in death, recently, by her daughter Laura Bass of Murphy, NC on 7/09/2025 as well as her sister, Margaret Jean Brown in 2010.
Marlene is survived by her son, Kayne Stewart of Florida, and her daughter, Cyd (Pat) Sheridan of Colorado. Along with seven grandchildren: Jesse, Jennifer, Bonny, Deja, Zefrey, Austin, Cassidy, ten great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Choice Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery on Saturday, July 26 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow.
