

During the mid-30’s, Marvyl attended Arriba Grade School. She moved to Denver and graduated from East High School. She then went on to Barnes Business School. She was employed by Standard Oil Company in Denver. In 1947 she was married to Wallace Schreiber in Denver. Two Daughters, Karen and Cheryl, were born of the union. Later the family moved to Evergreen, Colorado, where Wallace had a contractor business.
Marvyl worked in the Evergreen area, doing many fashion shows with her retail clothing business, she was a licensed real estate agent and was receptionist for Triple Check Tax Service.
For two years, during the 1990’s she was employed by the Limon Housing Authority, where she was an ombudsman, participated in meals on wheels program for seniors and drove the bus for senior day trips.
Later, Marvyl moved to the Bay Area in California to be closer to her daughters and their families. She worked for three psychiatrists as Office Manager for 10 years in Sunnyvale, California.
Marvyl was honored for five years of volunteer work in her community.
Marvyl and her husband were members of Central Christian Church for over fifty years. Marvyl held many offices including president secretary & recreation director for Kum Double Sunday school. She organized and with other members cooked for church functions and provided plays. She gave inspirational devotions showing her strong Christian faith. One of her passions was sports which included skiing, skating, bowling & her favorite pitcher on a all women's soft ball team going to state twice. She used sports to mentor many young people through leadership at camp Kona retreat.
Marvyl's sense of humor, compassion towards everyone and how she lived her life will never be forgotten and will live on in our hearts forever.
Marvyl passed away on February 1, 2013, in Fremont, California.
She is survived by her husband Wallace Schreiber of Greeley, CA, her two Daughters Karen D’Augusta of Pleasanton, CA, Cheryl Covich and her husband Robert Covich of San Jose, CA her two grandchildren Kevin TenEyck, Erin Westbrook and husband James Westbrook and one great grandson Kyle Westbrook, her brother Bob Coulson and wife Shirley of Tucson, Az
