Mary Pat, age 87, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026.
Born on February 18, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska, Pat was the beloved daughter of Agnes and Wally Langdon. She grew up alongside her four siblings—Wally, Clara Beth, Danny, and Jim. Pat later moved to Denver, Colorado, to pursue a career as a flight attendant with Frontier Airlines. In 1959, she met Lester Simpson, a ramp agent for Frontier Airlines, and the two quickly formed a lifelong bond.
Mary Pat and Lester were married on June 25, 1960, building a life filled with love, laughter, and a touch of silliness. They remained best friends throughout their 61 years together. Pat was the proud mother of Patricia Marie Mosher and Kathleen Marie Simpson. She and Lester also adopted their grandson James, whom they lovingly raised from the age of three. Together, they welcomed three additional grandsons into their lives—Jeremy and Johnny Mosher, and Kalen Ryan Boyd.
After marrying Lester, Mary Pat was no longer allowed to continue her work with Frontier Airlines. In 1962, she became a mother to her first daughter, Patricia, followed by Kathleen in 1965. Pat devoted herself to being a stay‑at‑home mother until 1977, when she began her lifelong career working in the records departments of various law enforcement agencies. She spent the majority of her career with the Westminster Police Department, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.
Mary Pat is survived by her daughters, Patricia and Kathleen, and her grandchildren James, Johnny, and Kalen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester, and her grandson, Jeremy.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
